Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Environmental Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Environmental Engineering typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm has positions available for limited-term, full-time engineering interns to work on water, wastewater and stormwater projects starting in May/June 2024 and ending in August/September 2024. Responsibilities include assisting engineers with the delivery of projects; conducting research; compiling and analyzing data; drafting technical reports; communicating with equipment vendors; reviewing construction documents; and/or visiting construction sites. The term is across the summer and/or additional times throughout year. A valid driver’s license will be required.
Successful candidates must have completed at least two semesters (4 semesters preferred) of college-level coursework in civil, chemical, mechanical or environmental engineering.
