Assoc. Professor - Environmental Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of environmental engineering. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Environmental Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Environmental Engineering typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Heavy Equipment Operator

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Operate a range of light and heavy machinery, including excavators, backhoes, graders, water trucks, loaders, rollers, dozers, mini-excavators, and bobcats.
    • Safely and productively operate assigned machinery, adapting to changing environments such as traffic, soil conditions, and weather.
    • Use equipment to dig trenches, build roads, level land, and perform other construction tasks.
    • Handle and move materials as needed.
    • Work safely and adhere to all company policies.
    • Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
    • Perform grading and staking for site preparation.
    • Assist supervisors and operators on excavating projects.
    • Work with and assist laborers when required.
    • Perform minor and routine maintenance on equipment.
    • Record and journal activities for project
    • Wear all company required Personal Protective Equipment.
    • Meet schedule and budget requirements assigned to the job.
    • Comply with Federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, equipment, and vehicles.

    Qualification

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Two (2) years of experience in operating equipment in a railroad environment
    • Ability to operate a range of heavy-equipment and excavation equipment.
    • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
    • Proficient with using hand powered, tools such as chainsaws, plate and jumping jack compactors
    • OSHA 10/30 preferred, but not required.
