Assoc. Professor - Environmental Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of environmental engineering. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Environmental Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Environmental Engineering typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.     Assist senior staff with field data review and field data interpretation.

    Assist with the preparation of technical and management reports.

    Assist with the preparation of project cost estimations.

    Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D, as well as any of the Microsoft Office Suite programs.

    Support projects in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Latin America, and elsewhere as needed.

    Other duties as assigned.

    An undergraduate degree in the physical sciences (e.g., Geology or Environmental Science) or engineering (e.g., Environmental, Mining, Civil or Geological);Â

    Familiarity with mining support earthworks facilities (tailings, leach piles, waste rock dumps, ponds, diversion channels), a plus;Â

    Basic knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics calculations, or willingness to learn;Â

    Excellent analytical, organization and problem-solving skills;Â

    Ability to meet deadlines and work independently with appropriate supervision and mentoring;Â

    Strong inter-personal communication and writing skills; andÂ

    Working knowledge of civil engineering software and Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Excel.Â
