    PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENINGS: Brenau University will conduct criminal background checks on all persons being considered for initial employment. In some circumstances, an FBI fingerprint report may be necessary to satisfy the requirement. Once employed, employees must hold and continue to maintain a favorable criminal history background. Random background checks are performed. Credit checks may be performed on candidates/employees who are selected for a position that regularly engages in handling credit cards or other company monies. A Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) may be performed during the hiring process, or as part of a random check. MVR checks are required to meet insurance requirements for those employees operating a university vehicle or participating in any driving activity on behalf of Brenau University, (including operating a golf cart, rented vehicle or one’s personal vehicle). Employees who travel must be at least 25 years of age, have a valid Georgia driver’s license, and good driving record. All employees who operate university vehicles, who are employed in a sensitive position, or who travel regularly as part of their job responsibilities may be subject to post-hire drug screening and random drug-screening. All employees are subject to reasonable suspicion drug screening.

     Key Responsibilities: 

    • Providing a learning environment that supports student success. 
    • Teaching synchronous or asynchronous courses as assigned by graduate nursing program. 
    • Development and revision of the class syllabi. 
    • Maintaining office hours per week for each class. 
    • Ensuring timely management and response to electronic correspondence from students, administrators, and other school officials. 
    • Leading instruction in courses and engaging students in relevant discussion and coursework. 
    • Partnering with Academic Advisors to address student concerns. 
    • Maintaining and submitting accurate and timely reports for student grades/progress. 
    • Delivering final grades to the Registrar's Office according to the academic calendar. 
    • Enforcing student conduct policies as outlined in the University Catalog. 
    • Attending department and faculty meetings. 
    • Additional duties as may be assigned by the School 

     Minimum Qualifications: 

    • Doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, EdD) in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution. 
    • National Board Certification as an Family Nurse Practitioner. Dual certified AGACNP/FNP is preferred. 
    • Recent clinical experience as an FNP or AGACNP in an NP role . 
    • Two to four years related experience and/or training (online teaching experience is a plus). 
    • Exceptional computer skills using Microsoft Office applications and G-suite applications (gmail, google docs, google sheets, etc). 
    • Ability to work effectively on campus or in a remote environment with minimal supervision. 

     

    Home Campus Designation:

    This position is an on-ground position in Norcross, GA.

    Licensure Requirements:
