Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Foreign Languages typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. The teaching load is 2 courses per semester in Russian language. Candidates must have a strong commitment to teaching. A Master's degree in Slavic or a related field is required, as is native or near-native fluency in both Russian and English. A PhD is strongly preferred.
