Our Award-Winning Client seeks a dedicated Infection Prevention Coordinator to enhance and oversee their nationally recognized health care services. This position requires a proactive professional who will maintain comprehensive infection prevention protocols and ensure regulatory compliance across all operational levels.

Essential Qualifications:

• Minimum Education Requirement: An Associate’s Degree in Nursing OR a Bachelor's Degree in fields such as Nursing, Biology, Microbiology, Medical Technology, Epidemiology, or a Master of Public Health (MPH).
• Skills Required: Robust critical thinking abilities, decisive judgment, and the capacity to function autonomously with minimal supervision are crucial. The ideal candidate should effectively handle stressful situations and execute necessary decisions promptly.
• Certification: Procurement of Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is mandatory within three years from the date of employment unless already certified.

Job Description: The role involves a strategic approach to developing and evaluating infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff. Key responsibilities include:

• Analyzing, interpreting, and disseminating healthcare-acquired infection data, executing risk assessments, surveillance priorities, and analyzing outcomes.
• Keeping abreast of the latest research and integrating evidence-based practices into the institution’s protocols.
• Ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal health regulations, and maintaining standards as per accrediting and regulatory bodies.
• Assisting in crafting educational resources and initiatives that promote best practices in infection prevention.
