Professor - History provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - History typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Position: Front Desk Volunteer, National Afro-American Museum and Cultural Center

Schedule: Part-time, unpaid 3 -hour shifts. Saturday work may be required for programming.

Summary:
The people at the Front Desk are the first faces that our guests see when they enter the Museum. Our job is to make the guests feel comfortable and welcomed so that they can enjoy their Museum experience. As a Front Desk Volunteer, you will learn the nuances of customer service while also learning about how to operate a Point-of-Sale (POS) Terminal.
Our Front Desk Volunteers sign up to staff one or more 3-4-hour shifts during the Museum's hours of operation (Wednesday through Saturday, 9am - 4pm).
