Part-time, non-exempt, 24 hours/week

Summary:
Responsible for building and maintaining connections with schools, educators, and local educator groups; managing education assistants; and planning, scheduling, and facilitating museum education programs.
· Schedule and facilitate museum field trips, classroom visits, and virtual programs for schools/teachers.
· Schedule and facilitate early childhood and homeschool programs.
· Work with Director of Engagement and Learning to develop and run family programs.
· Train and supervise student assistants/interns working on education or family programs.
· Build and maintain relationships with educators and school systems; work with communications staff (as time permits) to grow awareness of educational programming.
· Assist with grant projects.
· Other duties as assigned.

· Time Management: ability to manage time/work schedule of self and subordinates.
· Organization: ability to organize and maintain schedules, reservation systems, and manage multiple projects.

Experience/Education:
· High School graduate or equivalent.
· College degree or current enrollment.
· Training and/or experience in childhood education.

· Ability to work effectively as part of a high-functioning team.
· Ability to coordinate with museum’s curriculum specialist and follow lesson plans.
· Enthusiasm for working with children and their adults.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Interest in history and museums.
· Vaccinated against COVID-19.
· Willing to wear protective masks when required.
