Being an Assoc. Professor - Law provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Law typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.     As we continue to grow and expand the practice, we now seek LAW CLERK's to provide support to the Attorneys in all 9 of our California offices. *Applicants must reside in the state of California and be awaiting results for the California State Bar! 

    Specific duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows: 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:   

    • assisting attorneys in all areas of discovery and litigation  
    • reviewing and summarizing medical records 
    • attending depositions/cross examinations of doctors and taking notes/writing summaries  
    • legal research  
    • drafting petitions, briefs & other legal documents  
    • other assigned or guided tasks as may be needed to support Attorneys and legal staff   

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

    Requirements:  

    • Bachelor's Degree 
    • Must be awaiting California State Bar Exam results 
    • Basic computer skills 
    • Ability to work well in a team environment with or without supervision 
    • Ability to prioritize 
    • Attention to detail and high quality are ESSENTIAL to the success of anyone in this role!
