Position Overview:
As a Legal Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and callers at Morneau Law. Your role is pivotal in providing excellent customer service and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our office.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Greet and welcome clients, visitors, and callers in a professional and courteous manner.
2. Answer and direct phone calls promptly and efficiently, transferring to appropriate personnel or taking detailed messages when necessary.
3. Manage the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
4. Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for attorneys and staff members.
5. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, copying, and data entry to support the legal team.
6. Receive and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries.
7. Coordinate with other administrative staff to ensure seamless workflow and efficient office operations.
8. Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information and client matters.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in office administration is a plus.
- Proven experience as a receptionist or administrative assistant, preferably in a legal setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a polite and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is desirable but not required.
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure.
