Provide instruction in Language Arts for students in Grade 8
Qualifications:
-
B.A. or B.S. Degree with a strong emphasis in Language Arts
- Qualified for a Standard Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsements in English to cover areas to which assigned as issued by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board
- Team oriented; history of professional growth; demonstrated ability to work effectively with professional team at the secondary level, with parents, and with administration
- Knowledge of Professional Learning Communities (PLC)
- Demonstrated ability to motivate, work effectively with, and relate to secondary students of different age/ability levels
- Successful teaching experience in Language Arts at the secondary level preferred
- Experience and/or training in performance standards and familiarity with performance-based education preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in technology in a one-to-one environment required
Salary: District Salary Schedule (2023-2024 Base = $51,500.00)
Employment Term: Full-time – 185 day contract
Beginning Date: 2024-2025 reporting date for new staff – August 15, 2024
