Assoc. Professor - Mechanical Engineering jobs in Macon, GA

Responsibilities:

• Review and comprehend design drawings, design narrative, specifications, sketches, product data, submittals and design data information.
• Planning and lay-out of a ductwork and/or equipment system prior to installation.
• Knowledge of the system start-up and assisting with the Service Technicians to facilitate a complete and working system.
• Knowledge and skill of piping systems, refrigerant evacuation process & proper testing of system for start-up.
• Maintaining and proper use of tools of the trade.
• Applying company Safety Plan and other pertinent policies.
• Clean up debris generated by work activity.
• Assists in all areas of preparation as needed Performs routine fabrication and/or installation activities without direct oversight or on-site assistance.
• Repair or replace defective installed work.
• Conducts non-installation work in support of the Fabrication Shop and Service Departments, as assigned.
• Performs related duties as directed by the applicable Job Foreman or Project Manager.
• Cross-training in refrigeration, piping and controls.
• Applying proper tools of the trade.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in HVAC ductwork or other related fields
• Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams and duct fabrication and installation.
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.19 - $24.00 per hour
