Tulane University School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology & Medical Oncology is seeking applicants who will qualify for appointment as an Assistant Professor of Medicine. The candidate will be expected to focus on the diagnosis and management of head and neck but be willing to see some general oncology as well.
Ideally the physician will have an interest in head and neck cancers and emphasize innovation, clinical trials, multidisciplinary care, and translational research.
The position includes an emphasis on outpatient clinics, teaching, and mentoring of fellows, residents, and medical students in addition to clinical and/or translational research. Inpatient attending with Residents and Fellows are part of the academic responsibilities.

Qualifications:Candidates must qualify for appointment at the Assistant Professor level at our academic facilty, be board-certified in internal medicine, and have completed a fellowship in medical oncology or hematology/oncology with board eligibility or board certification in either oncology or medical oncology.
