A private physician group specializing in Hematology/Oncology is seeking an Experienced Medical Front Desk Receptionist whose primary job is to manage all traffic at the front check in-check out window in multiple office locations.

This is a busy multi-office practice, so the ideal candidate must posses the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast paced environment and have the ability to listen and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Manages sign in sheets
• Schedules appointment
• Takes messages
• Assist vendors
• Monitors the lobby for cleanliness and patients in distress
• Completes patient check in processes
• Distributes and collects new patient forms
• Verifies HIPAA and Medical Records Release signatures are obtained
• Confirms photo ID, insurance/prescription cards are scanned into system
• Notifies MA/Nurse when patient is ready
• Collect/process monies due, including outstanding co-pay and patient balances
• Assists traffic on phone and check out process
• Assist medication refill and patient requests/needs
• Assists patients and providers at the conclusion of patients visit
• Forwards provider correspondence and/or reports to referring providers
• Processes medical records releases as outlined in the authorization
• Any other duties as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year experience within a Medical Office setting is preferred
• Must be a self-starter and a team player
• EXCELLENT telephone etiquette
• HS Diploma/GED required
• Oncology experience preferred but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 - $19.00 per hour
