Our Award Winning Client, a nationally recognized healthcare organization, is seeking a Nursing Manager for their Med Surg Tele department in San Ramon, California.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Nursing Director, the Nursing Manager coordinates services of staff to patients during designated shifts, utilizing the nursing process and organizational/leadership skills. Ensures patient care is appropriate to the age and developmental level of patients served. Collaborates with the Nurse Director and Nursing Supervisor to assess staff needs for the unit and ensure patients' needs are met.

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing
• BSN and/or MSN Degree or related field preferred

Minimum Experience/Skills:

• Minimum of three (3) years of progressive management experience in the field of expertise
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an acute care setting
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to prioritize effectively and work within short time frames

Licenses/Certificates/Credentials:

• Current California RN license
• Current BLS certification for Health Care Providers (AHA certified)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA certified)
• Current PALS or ENPC Certification (AHA certified)
• Current CPI card – Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training
• CEN preferred

Age-Specific Care Requirements:

Knowledge and understanding of differences in care requirements for various age groups: newborn (0 to 30 days), infant (31 days to 1 year), pediatric (1 to 12 years), adolescent (13 to 17 years), adult (18 to 70 years), and geriatric (71 years). Modify nursing care as appropriate.
