Professor - Rehabilitation provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Rehabilitation typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks.     Purpose of Position:

    The Rehabilitation Supervisor supervises mentally and/or physically handicapped adults in the facility and community based settings.

    Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions
    A high school diploma or its equivalent and a minimum of one-year previous experience working with individuals with physical, emotional, and/or social disabilities is required.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.

    Other duties may be required and assigned.

    • Directly supervise mentally and/or physically handicapped individuals and act as a working supervisor in all areas of the department
    • Instruct/train clients by demonstrating and/or explaining duties and procedures
    • Setup workstations and/or provide adaptive measures for clients
    • Coordinate/stage raw materials for projects
    • Perform work inspections for quality and completeness
    • Provide personal care such as feeding, lifting, and toileting as needed
    • Provide job coaching and appropriate documentation/feedback
    • Accurately maintain work related performance documentation of clients

    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Excellent communication skills (verbal/written)
    • Adaptive to varying work environment
    • Ability to supervise disabled clients
    • Accuracy of maintaining work related documents
    • Ability to safely use tools/equipment associated with all work programs such as lawn mowers, woodworking saws, pneumatic nail/staple tools, commercial cooking stoves, meat slicers, etc
    • Ability to demonstrate work procedures
    • Knowledge of safe work practices

    Requirements:
