We are hiring a caring, compassionate and responsible Social Services/Admissions Director for our facility in Abbeville, GA. The qualified applicant for this position should possess:

• Degree in Social Work/Nursing from an accredited school or university or SSD certificate from the state of Georgia.
• Knowledge of the medical case management process, needs of geriatric patients, health care settings, working knowledge of funding resources such as Medicare Part A & B.
• Imagination and creative ability, skill in working cooperatively with other professionals, ability to organize and carry out responsibilities efficiently and effectively
• Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately both verbally and in writing in a wide variety of circumstances
• Long Term Care experienced preferred
• Must have imagination and creative ability, skill in working cooperatively with other professionals, ability to organize and carry out responsibilities efficiently and effectively
• Insurance authorization experience preferred
• Marketing experience preferred

Position Highlights:

• Assist the Director in Implementing a comprehensive social services program that provides support services for patients and families in the center
• Demonstrating teamwork characteristics by building a positive team approach
• Ensuring the quality of social services rendered by the center
• Understanding and abiding by established policies of the health care center and interpret them to concerned parties
• Assist Director in Providing direction to department in meeting center's goals and objectives
• This position will be able to coordinate admissions to the center, including handling inquiries either over the phone or in person; and conduct a needs assessment of the patient seeking admission and consideration of alternatives, if center is not capable of meeting these needs.
• Assist the Director with marketing activities/functions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
