Associate Admissions Director jobs in Cedar Falls, IA

Basic Function: Support the operation of student housing; coordinate the Student Activities for all students (Housing residents and commuters.) Must live in Student Housing. Daytime office hours with some evenings and weekends with on-call time and student activities.

Salary & Benefits: Salary of $35,810.23 - $42,972.28 based on experience; residence hall housing is also included in this position. Fringe benefits of Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance, eye care, dental, life and disability insurance. Retirement benefits as provided by Social Security and IPERS or TIAA.

Qualifications:
Required: Master's degree required. Experience in Student Development either through direct work experience or course work.
Preferred: Student housing experience and/or supervisory skills in student programming. Experience in Mental Health.

• Assist the Director of Housing with room assignments, check-in, and check-out procedures.
• Training and supervision of Resident Advisors with the Director of Housing.
• Assist residents as needed and be trained in emergencies.
• Provide confidential guidance for students in crises, and make appropriate referrals.
• Report all changes in the physical environment of the housing facilities to the Director of Housing.
• Create an environment in the residence halls that fosters student engagement, which includes planning and implementing a robust activity calendar with evening events for residents.
• Document all incidents of inappropriate behavior and review with residents within 24 hours.
• Supervise camp experiences as scheduled.

• Serve as Co-Student Government & Activities Advisor coordinating the student programming that will include planning, supervising, and attending student activities with the help of the Student Governors.
• Instruct Student Government course.
• Oversee clubs, organizations, and activities that are college approved and funded.
