Urbandale Health Care Center is currently seeking an Admissions Director / Nursing Scheduler for our skilled nursing facility in Urbandale, IA

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic individual to oversee and develop and maintain relationships with local hospitals, physicians and the community to drive patient referral efforts and to create and maintain staff schedules, track attendance, monitor lateness and absences, and provide reports to management related to productive and non-productive hours.

Full-Time

Responsibilities:

• Grow new referral opportunities in hospitals and other sources
• Act as liaison between facilities and referral sources
• Convert referrals to new residents
• Community outreach and relationship building
• Coordinate admissions with facility team
• Ensure admission documentation is completed accurately and timely
• Create and post monthly staff schedules, track and post changes and approve trades in the absence of the DON or as delegated by DON.
• Maintain timely records of call-offs, tardys and early arrivals and coordinate daily with HR to ensure attendance policies are administered promptly and fairly.
• Provide accurate and timely reports to DON, Facility Administrator and management on issues relating to staffing, vacancies and agency use, or other topics as assigned.
• Prepare and submit accurate, complete payroll reports on a timely basis
• Verify employment data and backgrounds on job applicants

Requirements:

• 2 years’ experience between Healthcare Sales, Marketing, Referral Management, and/or Admissions
• Active CMA or RN/LPN license
• Previous scheduler experience is required
