Job Summary:
The Associate Director of Admissions will work under the guidance of the Associate Vice President of Online Admissions & Marketing and will manage their recruitment responsibilities, primarily to support the online/hybrid programs in the Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences. This role is crucial for the successful acquisition and enrollment of prospective nursing and healthcare administration students and for the cultivation and maintenance of key relationships to foster new and sustain existing partnerships. The Associate Director of Admissions will also be responsible for general administrative duties as assigned. This is a full-time position with benefits (remote potential, but must reside in Virginia).
Primary Duties:
· Lead the recruitment process for MBU’s nursing and healthcare administration programs.
· Engage with prospective students through phone calls, text messages, emails, and personal notes to convert inquiries into completed applications.
· Develop and implement automated and personal communication strategies.
· Build new and maintain existing relationships/partnerships with various stakeholders, including healthcare facilities, nursing associations, and community organizations. This includes both in-person and virtual outreach.
· Keep accurate records of recruitment activities in the admissions database.
· Review and collect application materials.
· Represent the college at healthcare fairs, conferences, and other recruitment events, both on-campus and off-campus.
· Organize and lead virtual events to promote MBU’s programs.
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth transition for committed/enrolled students.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree is required. (Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is favorable). A master’s degree is preferred.
· Current nursing license or experience in the healthcare sector is highly desirable.
· Some travel and weekend/evening hours will occasionally be required, and a valid driver's license is necessary for this position.
· Experience with CRM software, preferably Salesforce, is desirable.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of individuals.
