Additionally, Associate Admissions Director typically reports to Chief Admissions Officer. The Associate Admissions Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be an Associate Admissions Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Education Requirement of the Admission Director

    Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

    College degree preferred

    Experience of the Admission Director

    Two (2) years prior admissions experience in health care facilities preferred.  Ability to type is required.

    Specific Requirements of the Admission Director

    Knowledgeable in Medicare requirements and insurance providers i.e. HMO rules, Medicare rules, RUGS II & III, and Medicare prescription plans.

     

    Be knowledgeable in the use of computers (Excel, Word, and Access), data input, retrieval and output functions, etc.
