Admissions Representative

Full-time 30-40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm

Includes rotating weekends & holiday coverage, Saturdays 8am-1pm

Benefits apply available after 60 days of employment is met.

Position Summary:

Fast paced position, requiring the employee to deal with a multitude of duties, while interacting with the public in a knowledgeable, pleasant, and efficient manner.

Duties to include but not limited to:

• Registers arriving patients for outpatient/inpatient/emergency services.
• Responsible to pre-register inpatient or outpatient scheduled admits.
• Inputs and verifies patient's information.
• Obtain updated and accurate insurance and demographic information from the patients or their representative.
• Prepares patient identification arm bands and places band on patient when appropriate.
• Consults with other departments to provide for interdisciplinary approach to the patient's needs.
• Make patients aware of hospital policies and procedures, to include Privacy Policy and Financial Assistance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

• Previous admissions/office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of health insurance, preferred.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have good communication skills.
