St. Francis Health Services has a great opportunity as a Revenue Cycle Admissions Associate! A remote or hybrid work environment will be considered for the right candidate.  

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of the Revenue Cycle Admissions Associate is to verify resident insurance eligibility and coverage, as well as securing third party payer authorization for services to be rendered. Job duties include:

• Works closely with the admissions team at each of the senior nursing facilities and verifies all necessary data elements needed for an authorization are available.
• Reviews all insurance information promptly and determines if prior authorization is required.
• Completes accurate and timely payer authorization requests as needed.
• Clearly communicates information and data with applicable parties pertaining to insurance verification and authorization.
• Escalates financial clearance risks as appropriate.
• Provides clear, concise documents for financial clearance work according to established guidelines.
• Provides cross-coverage and training, when needed, for other team members.
• Reviews and meets ongoing competency requirements of the role to support the skills, knowledge, and abilities to perform, within scope, role specific functions.
• Follows-up to ensure all authorizations and documentation have been submitted.
• Acts as a key payer information into Practice Management System.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance verification in a healthcare setting, preferred.
• Experience working with insurance companies and knowledge of different types of coverage and policies.
• Knowledge of ICD10 preferred.
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• Working knowledge of standard office equipment (copiers, scanners, calculators).
• Follow state regulations and guidelines.
