Associate Bursar has responsibility of one or several aspects of institutional funds. Oversees the operations of student financial services, billing and receivables, and cashiering functions of the university/college. Being an Associate Bursar ensures compliance with university, state, and federal regulations and standard accounting procedures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Associate Bursar typically reports to Bursar. The Associate Bursar manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Under the Division of Finance and Administration, the Office of Student Accounting serves as the central billing and collections department for Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) providing statements of tuition, fees and other charges incurred by students. The Office of Student Accounting at BCCC also refund any overpayments and perform reconciliation of account receivables to the general ledger accounts. Baltimore City Community College is looking for energetic, reliable, adaptable, take charge, results driven contractual accounting professional to perform simple to complex customer service duties to service our students and staff, various student account maintenance functions, reconciliations and serve as a backup cashier as needed.
Will be required to work at least 2 -3 Saturdays (9am – 1pm) per month;
Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10am - 7 pm.
