Oversees the operations of student financial services, billing and receivables, and cashiering functions of the university/college. Being an Associate Bursar ensures compliance with university, state, and federal regulations and standard accounting procedures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Associate Bursar typically reports to Bursar. The Associate Bursar manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. As a key member of the Student Government Association (SGA), the Business Associate will provide key management and operationalization of several critical business functions.
Responsibilities including management of SGA’s online payment platform, administering SGA’s purchasing card and fleet card programs, reconciling expenses, collecting documents, and managing communications regarding revenue and expenses.
The Associate responds to inquiries and supports student leaders in navigating SGA’s business processes, collaborates on financial reporting, administers purchasing processes and other business needs.
As a member of the Business Office, the Associate will adhere to federal, University, and SGA policies, procedures, and guidelines, and perform other administrative functions.
