Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences jobs in Harrisburg, PA

This is a part-time, hourly position, reporting directly to the Box Office Manager at Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: The Box Office Associate is responsible for management and fiscal control of all Box Office operations to include providing ticketing services for admissions, reservations, services to patrons and client organizations, developing ticketing admissions procedures, and managing membership services.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage daily Box Office operations.

1. Develop policies and procedures for Box Office operations for admissions to Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts (Sunoco Performance Theater, Select Medical Digital Cinema, and Harsco Science Center) including direct window, telephone, fax, mail, and e-ticketing.

1. Interface with Education team regarding school groups and birthday party reservations.

1. Manage cash, checks, and credit receipts to include daily close out reports and bank deposits. Develop procedures concerning refunds, returns and exchanges. Provide daily reconciliation reports to the finance department.

1. Develop internal financial control system in coordination with Box Office Manager to assure accountability of all funds, receipts, etc., conduct monthly safe audit, and report status.

1. Manage membership activities, which include, but are not limited to:

          a. Write, prepare and produce member correspondence.

          b.  Process-in and process-out all memberships.

1. Respond to client or customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.

1. Respond to customer queries in an informative and courteous manner.

1. Maximize ticket sales and actively promote the Center and all its activities.

1. Develop policies and procedures to provide Box Office services for client organizations at additional venues as approved by Director, Events and Ticketing.

1. Meet with the Box Office Manager to review progress, determine priorities, and work cooperatively with all other staff to achieve goals.

1. Build cinema, science center, educational, and performing arts events in the Agile Ticketing System.

1. Attend departmental and all-staff meetings as directed, staying informed of ongoing changes in department and overall organization.

1. Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Box Office Manager
