Associate Dean of Business jobs in Fargo, ND

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Associate who is familiar with all aspects of accounting and bookkeeping. Applicants must have a firm grasp of basic accounting principles and practices, with an aptitude for numbers and should be familiar with QuickBooks® Desktop and QuickBooks® Online. Typical working hours for the position are 8:30am-5pm Monday through Friday. Remote working may be considered as a long-term option for this position at our small, but growing company.

PRIMARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide basic accounting and bookkeeping support to clients, including assisting with transaction classification, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processing
• Compile and review financial information and prepare financial reports.
• Review reports, fund or account statements and bank statements and complete account reconciliations; investigate irregularities and report to supervisor; make adjustments and necessary journal entries.
• Implement and manage third party applications that integrate and support the accounting function of clients.
• Assist with quarterly and annual client file reviews for tax purposes including reviewing information for accuracy/consistency and/or preparing payroll tax forms and 1099s.

SECONDARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:

• Communicate with clients in writing and compose accounting articles for company website or marketing materials as needed.
• Maintain certification in QuickBooks® Online, and complete any additional requested training.
• Contribute as a member of the MBS team to company objectives, marketing campaigns, educational incentives, etc.
• Accomplish accounting and organization purpose and deliver on brand promise by completing related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 2-Year Accounting degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office or Google Workspace.
• Experience with QuickBooks® Desktop and QuickBooks® Online.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 45 per week
