Associate Dean of Business assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of business. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Business provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Business typically reports to a Dean. Plans projects and request completion tasks with assistance from more experienced analysts.
Provides time and effort estimates based on requirements gathering. Must be able to manage projects with supervision.
Demonstrates working knowledge of relevant source systems needed to support primary stakeholders and proficiency with related databases/data marts within first year in role. Must demonstrate ability to become facile with the various business intelligence software systems used at Geisinger.
Develops, validates, and executes simple queries. Designs and builds basic reports/dashboards. Performs routine data analysis that answers business questions for internal customers; under supervision of more senior analyst or supervisor.
Presents analysis and reports to internal customers and stakeholders.
Integrates basic visualizations into self-service reports/dashboards, makes minor modificiations to more complex dashboards developed by more senior analysts, and offers visualization recommendations to stakeholders based on business goals, requirements, and the intended audience.
Reports and helps troubleshoot data quality issues when performing data profiling, testing, or validation.
