Associate Dean of Business assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of business. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Business provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Business typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Business typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll and Business Associate to join our team. Under the guidance of the Executive Director and in close coordination with Department Managers, the Payroll and Business Associate will be responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll, maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations, maintaining employee personnel files, and executive support. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of payroll processes, is proficient in using payroll software, and is interested in learning (or learning more) about the business of healthcare.
Duties
- Process payroll for employees accurately and on time
- Review and verify timesheets, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
- Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, garnishments, and other withholdings
- Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, leave, and overtime hours
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefit matters
- Assist with new hires and separations
- Work on assigned projects including data compilation and assisting with business report preparation
- Other business support projects as needed
Requirements
- Experience as a Payroll Associate or similar role
- Solid understanding of HRIS systems and payroll software
- Knowledge of financial concepts related to payroll processing
- Familiarity with compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to analyze data
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Associate degree or higher education preferred
