Justin-Siena High School is seeking an Associate Dean of Students for the 2024-2025 school
year. This position is a minimum 50% FTE, with the opportunity for an additional 50% FTE
based on qualifications and institutional needs.

School Overview
Justin-Siena is a Lasallian Catholic college preparatory school. We serve approximately 65
students from the Napa Valley and neighboring Northern California communities, as well as
international students from countries around the world. Dedicated, competent, and caring faculty
and staff are at the heart of Justin-Siena. Our mission emphasizes academic excellence and a
holistic student experience in the context of a loving community that prepares students to serve
and lead in an ever-changing world.

Position Summary
The Associate Dean of Students directly serves the school’s administration in supporting and
developing a positive, safe, and Lasallian student culture. Through collaboration and intention,
the Associate Dean of Students is responsible for upholding day to day student discipline
policies, procedures, and protocols under the direction of the Dean of Students. The Associate
Dean of Students maintains student records, supports student and campus safety, and provides a
relational presence to enhance the Lasallian and Catholic dynamics of the school.



Essential Responsibilities
The essential responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure a safe campus environment reflective of our Lasallian values and tradition.
• Maintain professional and reliable communication with students, faculty, staff, parents,

enforcing school policies, maintaining discipline and attendance records, enforcing dress
code, supervising student events, coordinating adult supervision, and promoting a caring,
values-based environment.

• Collaborate effectively with administration, faculty, and other staff.
• Providing student supervision during the school day as well as at school-sponsored events

such as athletic competitions, arts performances, dances, and retreats.

• Support Lasallian educators through appropriate professional development, student

• Coordinate and communicate attendance policies in collaboration with the Attendance

• Coordinate and supervise student detention.
• Provide a visible and positive presence to students, faculty, staff, and parents.
• Provides coverage for the Dean of Students while attending AdTeam meetings and other

Qualifications
We seek candidates with track records of positive, professional collaboration in team settings and
with the desire and capacity to grow as an educational leader in our Lasallian culture. An
understanding of the developmental needs of adolescents is necessary; therefore, we seek a
healthy combination of positivity, flexibility, energy, creativity, grit, optimism, and sense of
humor. We are seeking demonstrated experience working in a diverse, inclusive community and
strong cross-cultural competency skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in writing and
carrying out policies that support a healthy, positive, and values-based Lasallian student
environment. The ideal candidate has earned a Bachelor's degree, minimum, and Masters degree
preferred in teaching, educational leadership, or related field.

Position Reports to: Dean of Students

Position hours: 210 day salaried position

Compensation: $57,620 - $102,85
