The Associate designs and produces advertisements, publications, and promotional materials for the Continuing Education Department as needed. Utilizes skills and background in advertising to support the College’s mission.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
1. Creates, scrubs and maintains mailing lists for marketing purposes.
2. Creates quarterly continuing education calendar of school districts, locations, etc.
3. Creates production schedule for the department and Marketing.
4. Creates layout of quarterly mailer using InDesign; collaborates with Marketing for proofing and printer distribution.
5. Provides documents, including pictures and logos of targeted promotional pieces to Marketing.
6. Creates and sends email blasts for specialized marketing or collaborates with Marketing to generate.
7. Creates flyers and documents for meetings/promotions.
8. Helps proof documents, flyers and mailers.
9. Maintains the department social media creating posts, videos, etc. for marketing purposes (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google and YouTube.
10. Maintains department websites using SiteImprove.
11. Maintains department SharePoint.
12. Enters all Continuing Education classes into ACE; registering students and accepting payments.
13. Maintains the department email and responds appropriately.
14. Maintains ED2go online Continuing Education classes.
15. Answers the main department phone line and responds appropriately.
16. Provides evaluations results to instructors as needed.
17. Prepare completion certificates and send to students/instructors as needed.
18. Prepares and mails Letters of Credit as needed.
19. Assists with College for Kids.
20. Assists department staff with various project/tasks as needed.
21. Coordinates in tandem with Marketing to ensure segmented marketing is created (i.e. postcards, email blasts, advertisements, etc.)
22. Monitors department website analytics and marketing web analytics.
23. Consistently and dependably attends work, activities, and functions as scheduled or assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Knowledge of general office administration and organization.
2. Knowledge of standard office equipment.
3. Proficient Knowledge of College-support software and computer systems (MS Office, Colleague, InDesign).
4. Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google , YouTube).
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
6. Ability to utilize mathematical and money-handling skills during normal and stressful operations.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Ability to demonstrate a positive and professional attitude.

Required Qualification
Associate’s degree with four (4) years of full-time work related experience.
Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered
Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Typical hours are M-F, 8am – 5pm. Some weekends as needed.
