Associate Dean of Continuing Education assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of continuing education. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Continuing Education provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Continuing Education typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Continuing Education typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. New hires must have a high school diploma/GED. Responsibilities include accompanying students to his/her activities. Must be able to keep students on task and organized. Assist students with personal hygiene needs. Must be able to supervise students in cafeteria, classrooms, playground, and patrol duties. Computer and typing skills needed. Must have basic understanding of math, science, and reading and writing skills, with ability to check students work. Capability to work with students in small groups (or individually, one-on-one). Ability to follow both written and oral directions. MANDT Training and Behavior Management preferred. Mobility and ability to lift required. Other duties as assigned.
