Methodist University seeks an Associate Dean for Clinical Education for its new School of Medicine that has been established in partnership with Cape Fear Valley Health in Fayetteville, NC. The School of Medicine is an applicant program with the LCME. Reporting directly to the Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, the Associate Dean for Clinical Education will serve as trusted partner and will oversee the leadership, development, supervision, and assessment of undergraduate clinical medical education through planning, directing, and the implementation of programs, policies, and procedures for medical student clinical education during the third and fourth year. This individual will supervise clerkship directors and work collaboratively with the associate dean for foundational sciences, the associate dean for curriculum/student success, the assistant dean for assessment, hospital leadership, clinical faculty, and the office of student experience. This individual will require the ability to work as a team leader, team member, and team player and possess superior communication skills and emotional intelligence. The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of experience as a clerkship director or assistant/associate dean in a medical school.
