Associate Dean of Education assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of education. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Education provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Education typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Education typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
    1. Welcome Wagon:
    a. Welcome guests to Ghost Ranch with a smile, friendly demeanor, and inquiries about the reason for their visit
    b. Collect fees, answer questions, and direct guests to desired locations
    c. Keep Welcome Wagon clean and tidy
    2. Front Desk Headquarters:
    a. Welcome guests to the Ranch with a smile and friendly demeanor.
    b. Answer questions about overnight stays, tours, and activities
    c. Check overnight guests in/out, collect credit card information upon check in and maintain accurate records in the property management system
    d. Answer the phone, return voicemails, and respond to emails
    e. Direct inquiries to appropriate departments
    f. Utilize multiple operating systems (OPERA, FareHarbor, Inntopia, any new programs introduced)
    g. Keep areas clean and tidy
    Qualifications:
    1. Positive, outgoing and helpful demeanor
    2. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to remain calm, cheerful, and customer focused
    3. Excellent verbal communication skills
    4. Keen observation and inquiry skills to be able to detect guests’ needs or potential concerns
    5. Detail-oriented with high standards for accuracy
    6. Ability to quickly learn and work on multiple computer platforms
    7. Able to adhere to scheduled hours and be flexible to Ghost Ranch needs.
    8. Able to stand and work at a computer screen for extended periods of time
    9. Able to work both indoors (70%) and outdoors (30%)
    10. Pass a criminal background check

    Summary:
    Ghost Ranch welcomes more than 20,000 day visitors and approximately 5,000 overnight guests each year. Guest Services Associates provide the first impression of Ghost Ranch through greeting, providing accurate information, and directing guests upon arrival. Guest Services Associates create a welcoming environment and exceptional guest experiences by working closely with other departments to meet guest needs. The work of this position takes place in two locations: Headquarters and our Welcome Wagon located at the entrance of Ghost Ranch.

    Open Positions:
    Two positions are available for year-round, full-time 40 hour/week, non-exempt (hourly) pay at $18/hour. Weekends, nights, holidays, and overtime may be required. Full-time positions include a full generous benefits package after a 90 day trial period.

    Two positions are available seasonally for six months (approximately May-October), 40 hour/week, non-exempt (hourly) pay at $18/hour. Weekends, nights, holidays, and overtime may be required. Seasonal positions have limited benefits. Housing is not provided except for a campground site with access to the communal bathhouse.
