Job Summary

Our Shipping & Receiving Associate is the front-line of order fulfillment and will be responsible for order accuracy, packaging and shipping, and developing scalable processes for our growing eCommerce segment.  This position will support our growing B2C e-commerce platform, existing B2B customers, and important vendor relationships. 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
• Ensure shipment accuracy for all outgoing orders to maintain Ilmor’s high level of expectations for Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service to parts ordering
• Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.
• Determine shipping method for engines and parts, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record keeping purposes.
• Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of engines and parts.
• Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and non-conformance to specifications.
• Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
• Deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as forklift, hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins.
• Compute amounts, such as space available, and shipping, storage, and demurrage charges, using calculator or price list.
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

• 2 years of experience in Shipping & Receiving or related logistics responsibilities
• Intermediate-to-Advanced expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) 
• High School Diploma or GED
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Effective communicator and collaborator
• Able to work hard and maintain quality standards with tight deadlines

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing setting
• Experience in a warehouse setting
• Interest in eCommerce logistics
• Experience with ERP or inventory management software
• Intermediate-to-Advanced expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
