Associate Dean of Graduate Programs assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of a graduate program. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Graduate Programs provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Graduate Programs typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Graduate Programs typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Strategically increase summer program college credit offerings (in person and online) for current Catholic University students, local students, and high school students. Increase outreach to non-traditional and adult learners in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, current Catholic University students, and other college populations about summer courses. Expand high school programs (high school juniors and seniors) to prepare for the college experience.
Oversee all aspects of summer recruitment and admissions. Develop both short-term and long-term recruitment strategies for summer session enrollment and continuing studies enrollment. Work with academic programs to develop continuing studies pathways, summer course offerings, and high school programs.
Responsibilities:
* Aggressively grow summer offerings and net tuition revenue.
* Develop and execute strategies including planning special recruitment events.
* Develop and execute recruitment and marketing materials.
* Manage relationships with internal and external marketing partners.
* Develop and execute communications plan for prospective students.
* Coordinate/work with academic programs.
* Coordinate University-wide online initiatives.
* Conduct market analyses to determine attractive and appropriate opportunities.
* Perform data collection, analyses, and assessment for summer programs.
* Manage staff of summer sessions office.
* Manage high school summer programming and offerings.
* Responsible for summer sessions budget and proforma.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree; Master's preferred.
* Three (3) years or more of experience in an academic setting preferred and at least one (1) year in a professional position at an educational institution preferred.
* Familiarity with PeopleSoft and Salesforce/TargetX preferred.
* Total mastery of Microsoft Office and familiarity with basic statistical analyses.
* Effective communicator in both written and oral presentations.
* Flexible hours required with ability to work some weekend and evening hours.
* Travel required.
* Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning and implementation skills.
* Strong project management and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an understanding of customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Possession of a current and valid U.S. driver’s license appropriate to the type of university vehicle and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record (MVR) as stipulated in the Vehicle Guidelines and Procedures Manual administered through the office of Environmental Health and Safety. Annual clearance of MVR check through the Office of Environmental Health and Safety.
