Being an Associate Dean of Graduate Programs provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Graduate Programs typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Graduate Programs typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. The online MBA program and the Orthopaedic MBA Program are housed within the School of Business at Grace College. The School of Business also houses the Business Department, the Sport Management Department, and the William P. Gordon Institute for Enterprise Development.
Responsibilities:
The Director of Graduate Programs for the School of Business will be responsible for administrative oversight of all Business School Graduate Programs both online and face to face. In addition, the Director will be responsible for teaching graduate courses and potentially in the undergraduate program; faculty development; student supervision, mentoring, and advising; scholarly activity; professional development; and university and community service.
