Associate Dean of Graduate Programs assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of a graduate program. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Graduate Programs provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Graduate Programs typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Graduate Programs typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. About Us: Glen Urquhart School (GUS), is an independent, coeducational day school for students in
Pre-K through grade eight. Located 45 minutes north of Boston in Beverly Farms, GUS was founded in
1977 with an experiential, place-based philosophy that integrates all subjects and creates
opportunities for students to be passionate in their pursuit of knowledge.
The Position: We seek an energetic professional to support the daily operations of the GUS Auxiliary
Programs as Associate Director of Auxiliary Programs. This position is responsible for assisting the
Director of Summer and Auxiliary programs with their daily operations including program
implementation, database management, parent relations, staff recruitment, student and camper
supervision, community relations, inventory and purchasing. This position is a .875 FTE. During the
school academic year the hours are approximately Monday - Friday, 10:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.,
transitioning in mid-June through mid-August to 100% FTE week work schedule in line with the
SUMMER@GUS programs. This position is salaried with benefits.
