Associate Dean of Humanities assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of humanities. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Humanities provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Humanities typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Humanities typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Job Purpose:
This team member will supervise and lead all academic operations for our northern division institutions including West Virginia Junior College- Morgantown, United Career Institute, and East Ohio College. This role includes but is not limited to management of academic effectiveness, adherence to standards of accreditation (ABHES) and achievement of overall curricular quality for our allied health programs, business programs, and information technology programs. This person will manage all academic programs with the Program Director and provide leadership and oversight in the following areas: hiring, supervision, retention of faculty.
