CT Summer Associate

Scott Scott Attorneys at Law LLP is seeking highly motivated and talented UConn law students to join our growing Antitrust team as Summer Associates in our Colchester, Connecticut office. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Class Action and Antitrust law and collaborate with some of the brightest legal minds in the field.

Antitrust Team

The Scott Scott Antitrust team is currently leading cutting-edge class action cases, and investigating potential new cases, that are creating new legal precedent in key forums and pushing the envelope of how Antitrust law is viewed in America. The Scott Scott Antitrust team is committed to holding corporations accountable to consumers in a shifting economic landscape, particularly in the banking, commodities, and tech worlds with a focus on those that use algorithms and artificial intelligence to price-fix. For example, the Antitrust team is currently leading some of the largest cases in the country, including:

• RealPage Inc. and landlords across the country for price-fixing rents with AI-powered software;
• Meta, Inc. (X) for monopolizing the Social Advertising Market;
• The largest financial institutions in the world for conspiring to price-fix European and UK bonds sold to US investors; and
• New York real estate brokerage agencies for inflating broker fees charged on Manhattan residential real estate transactions.

The Connecticut Antitrust team is looking for Summer Associates with a passion for economic justice. The candidates must also enjoy immersive deep study, as the successful prosecution of Antitrust cases requires a learned expertise in the intricacies of discrete industries and technologies. Additionally, the candidate must possess the following skills:

Summer Associate Position

The candidate must be prepared to work in-person throughout the summer of 2024 at the Scott Scott office in Colchester, Connecticut. The Firm is offering a competitive salary depending on skill and experience. Scott Scott takes our Summer Associate program very seriously. The program has led to the hiring of many first-year associates after graduation from law school, and we plan to continue to do so for the fall of 2025.
