Associate Dean of Law assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of law. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Law provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Law typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Law typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be an Associate Dean of Law typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. - Litigate cases in court on behalf of clients
- Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing parties
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts

- Prepare for and participate in hearings, depositions, and trials
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation
Skills:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar association

- Proficiency in legal research tools and software
As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for litigating cases in court, negotiating settlements, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and providing legal advice to clients. You should have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to the state bar association. Strong communication, research, analytical, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team is also important. Proficiency in legal research tools and software is preferred.
