Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Legal Responsibilities
· Provide legal advice relating to general corporate matters to nonprofits and small businesses
· Advise clients on a range of tax, finance, governance, and other compliance matters related to both domestic and international operations
· Research and provide legal advice on domestic and international income tax matters
· Review, negotiate and draft a variety of contracts and other agreements
· Assist with legal research and writing as needed
Marketing Responsibilities
· Develop engaging legal content for various digital platforms to attract potential clients
· Attend industry events, conferences and networking functions to build relationships and promote our services
· Develop branding strategies that differentiate us from competitors
· Nurture existing client relationships through targeted communications
· Conduct market research to inform marketing strategies and identify opportunities for growth
Education
· J.D. from an accredited law school and a strong academic record
· Must be currently admitted to and maintain the license to practice law in one or more states in the United States.
Required Skills
· Minimum of 4-6 years of experience at a law firm or in-house at a corporation or public charity
· Experience in marketing, communications, or public relations
· Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple demands at the same time.
· Pragmatic approach to problem solving and strong flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.
· Self-starter with the ability to work independently but with the judgment to know when to seek guidance
· Able to communicate clearly and concisely with a range of clients
· Strong analytical skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
