Associate Dean of Medicine jobs in Amarillo, TX

Candidates must have a passion for preventive medicine, for finding root causes of disease, and for seeing our patients’ health and vitality improve. The ideal candidate will be a life-long learner, and will want to participate in a collaborative team environment for the good of our patients. Candidates who are not interested in alternative medicine and nutrition need not apply.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in any field preferably health, nutrition, sports and exercise science, or education

Nutrition Training preferred, or willingness to learn

Certifications in personal training, group exercise, or weight loss programs appreciated

Training or experience in computer skills, social media, marketing, and sales preferred

EXPERIENCE

Practical Experience 5 years in the health, fitness, and nutrition industry will be strongly considered

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES would include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Schedules and manages patient appointments
• Demonstrate a positive and inviting attitude with staff and patients at all times
• Educates patients on behavior modifications related to a healthy lifestyle, such as stress management, weight control, and appropriate nutrition choices.
• Consults and reaches out to new, current, and past clients and members for purposes of recruiting and maintaining client base according to retention guidelines.*
• Collaborate with Medical Fitness team for the overall good of the patient
• Records patient histories and maintains complete and accurate patient files
• Delivers integrative nutrition and lifestyle presentations to community and businesses
• Develops and/or administers nutrition training presentations for one-on-one patients and small groups.
• Assists and participates in outreach and community activities including marketing, projects, lunch-and-learns, etc.
• Spends adequate time preparing for teaching presentations and nutrition coaching sessions to include clean up.
• Attends all mandatory team meetings and training sessions unless pre-approved by management.
• Manages social media for the practice with the intent of increasing community awareness
• Use computer tracking programs efficiently to track office key performance indicators
• Take initiative in finding unique ways to grow the practices’ key areas of nutrition and fitness
• Create and edit blogs, social media posts, and website to keep current and relevant
• Actively advocate for living a healthy lifestyle and be able to demonstrate healthy family nutrition and fitness practices
• Have knowledge and competence in cooking and teaching patients to cook through cooking classes, grocery store tours and group office visits.
