Associate Dean of Medicine assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of medicine. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Medicine provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Medicine typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Medicine typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Outstanding patient care and ability to multi-task are essential. Candidate must have strong organizational and computer skills.

QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in any field preferably health, nutrition, sports and exercise science, or education
Nutrition Training preferred, or willingness to learn
Certifications in personal training, group exercise, or weight loss programs appreciated
Training or experience in computer skills, social media, marketing, and sales preferred
EXPERIENCE
Practical Experience 5 years in the health, fitness, and nutrition industry will be strongly considered
