Associate Dean of Medicine assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of medicine. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Medicine provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Medicine typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Medicine typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Position Summary:
Under general supervision, but according to established policies and procedures, the distribution associate performs various duties under the functional areas of Inventory Management and Receiving.
These duties include, but are not limited to: receiving, shipping, ordering supplies, determining inventory levels and monitoring supplies using JHHS Materials Management Information Systems.
Education/Work Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Prior related experience preferred;
- Good verbal communication skills in dealing with users and vendors. Typing ability, primarily using PC keyboard;
- A demonstrated history of problem solving skills;
