Associate Dean of Medicine assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of medicine. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Medicine provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Medicine typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Medicine typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     This position serves as an attending for the Division of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine. This Hospitalist position can be classified as day shift or night shift and candidates must be board certified/eligible in Hospital Medicine.
    Multiple Positions Available.

    Candidates will be expected to participate fully in the patient care, teaching, research and service activities of the Department of Medicine and Division of Hospital Medicine. Ideal candidates will possess excellent clinical and communication skills, a strong commitment to serving a multicultural diverse patient population and teaching/faculty experience with a passion for training students and residents, and a commitment to scholarship.
