Soft Medicine Sanctuary is a community hub in the heart of Downtown Sebastopol. We are a tea house, elixir bar, organic food cafe, event space, art hall, and even have a 1,400 sq ft studio where we hold weekly classes including yoga and meditation. Our lovely cafe is full of lush plants, nourishing food and drinks, and community events. We serve the cleanest food in town with 100% organic farm-to-table ingredients. JOB DESCRIPTION

Come be a part of our family! We are looking for part-time employees to help with our food and drink service. We’re looking for a hardworking and responsible person with flexible hours and weekend availability. Shifts are 6-8 hours. Pay is $18/hr, plus tips. We are searching for someone who is passionate about health wellness, preferably familiar with ayurveda and herbals, is comfortable with food and drink service, and is a friendly and welcoming presence. Restaurant or bar experience is a must.

Responsibilities would include:

• Making a variety of hot and cold drinks
• Assembling and serving food items
• Bussing tables
• Working the register/POS system
• Taking orders in person and over the phone
• Fulfilling to-go orders
• Providing quick and friendly service to all customers
• Helping customers with menu choices and providing health benefit information of the items
• Maintaining a clean and organized environment

Qualifications:

• Punctual, reliable, and responsible
• Strong customer service skills and communication skills
• Packed with personality, engaging, and has a positive attitude
• A team player, and can pitch in when needed
• Able to keep things looking clean and tidy
• Has attention to detail and is a fast learner
• Has a strong work ethic and is proactive
• Able to work on your feet for 6-8 hours
• Restaurant, hospitality, food service, or customer service experience required
• Food handlers certification required
• Basic knowledge of nutrition, ayurveda, herbalism preferred (you will also be trained)
