Associate Dean of Nursing assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of nursing. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Nursing provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Nursing typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Nursing manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. seeks to recruit a Faculty member to serve in a Part-time capacity (0.8 FTE) as
the Senior Associate Dean for Education, which reports to the SOM Dean and
leads the SOM medical student and health professions programs and SOM
educational initiatives. The remaining .20 FTE in the candidate’s
department. We are seeking an Associate
or Full Professor, open track. This position is available beginning October 1,
2023, and a later date can be negotiated, as needed, for the successful
applicant.
