Associate Dean of Nursing assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of nursing. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Nursing provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Nursing typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Nursing manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Associate Dean of Nursing typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives
The School of Nursing is seeking dynamic candidates for the position of Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives. The Associate Dean helps to develop strategies to achieve educational goals and objectives aligned with the academic mission of the school. A key player of the School’s Senior Leadership Team, this position will report to the Dean and will be responsible for the vision, leadership, and administration of all aspects of the academic portfolio, including developing faculty and staff, fiscal planning, strategic planning, and goal setting in concert with the school and university’s strategic plans. The selected candidate will have a commitment to working with a Hispanic serving institution.

PhD in Nursing, Doctorate in Nursing.
