Associate Dean of Nursing assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of nursing. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Nursing provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Nursing typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Nursing manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. BATES TECHNICAL COLLEGE Associate Dean of Instruction works closely with, and advocates for faculty and staff to ensure that instructional services are of high quality, effective for student learning outcomes and responsive to the college and community. Reporting to the Vice President of Instruction (VPI), the position will oversee a mix of career training/professional technical instructional programs at South Campus.
The Associate Dean has first line responsibilities to all employees within their instructional division areas, manages the unit budgets, and oversees the development of the annual schedule and the assignment of faculty.
