Associate Dean of Sciences jobs in Brockton, MA

Reporting to the Director of Student Accounts and Customer Service, the Customer Service Representative prepares, maintains, processes, and provides information regarding student financial records to students, families, and Dean associates. As the first line of contact for the Center for Student Financial Planning and Services, the Customer Service Representative is expected to be professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about the many aspects of financial aid, student accounts and general information about Dean College.

The main responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative include empathetic and knowledgeable financial counseling of students and parents, some supervision of student staff, and management of electronic, written, and verbal communications with Dean College associates, students, and their families.

Essential Responsibilities

• Answer phones, emails, assist walk-ins, participate in outreach initiatives.
• First point of contact for the Center of Student Financial Planning & Services. Provide information to students, families, and cross-campus partners regarding financial aid, student accounts, registrar, and business office processes. As needed, direct customers to appropriate staff member for assistance.
• Schedule appointments and meetings for office staff.
• Process all incoming documents and paperwork and distribute as necessary,
• Assist in supervision of student employees,
• Assist in the coordination of mailings and other communications.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Accounts and Customer Service and the Director of Financial Aid.

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3 years of customer service experience required.
• Strong verbal, written, and communication skills required. Must be able to understand and communicate information to students and parents from a diverse community in a simple, clear, and logical manner.
• 2 years of experience in an office setting preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Attention to detail a must.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with Student Financial Services helpful.
